Some medical conditions require children to be excluded from school or child care to prevent the spread of infectious diseases among other children and staff, as well as the community.  Unfortunately, we have had a number of children coming along to school either during or following the contraction of an infectious illness rather than observing the recommended exclusion period guidelines.   Keep your child at home if they have any of the following:

  • fever (temp over 37.5°C)
  • stomach ache with vomiting
  • stomach ache with diarrhoea (3 or more times in 24 hours)
  • cough with fever
  • body sores or rash with fever
  • sore eyes with pus or thick mucus
  • sore throat with fever
  • no appetite, are tired, pale, cranky, or not feeling well.

Keeping your child and other kids healthy!

Viral illnesses are often contagious BEFORE your child shows any symptoms of being sick… Please take the time to peruse the attached information brochures provided by Qld Health.
